Night High School Scholarship Program
A Better Chance Foundation sponsors a 5-year Night High School Scholarship Program with Siena College, Taytay, Rizal; San Jose del Monte, Bulacan and Quezon City. This program serves to give a second chance to students who may not have been able to attend regular high school due to financial problems.
Night High scholars are selected in communities adjacent to the three three Siena campuses. Posters are placed throughout the community inviting drop outs or potential drop outs to attend testing at the school. They must first pass an entrance exam similar to the one given to regular paying students. Once they pass the entrance exam, they are then interviewed. After the applicant and their parents are interviewed, a social worker visits their home and community to verify their economic status. Only when the applicant passes this 3-step process can he/she qualify to be a Night High Scholar.
Night High classes start at 3:30 in the afternoon to 8:30 at night. Since the total daily hours of study are less than the standard day time class hours, our program is a 5 year course.
We now have 5 Night High classes in Siena College, Taytay, Rizal; 4 classes in Siena College, Quezon City, and 3 classes in Siena College, San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, with over 400 Night High Scholars.
We hope to see these students successfully complete their high school education. These boys and girls are among the poorest of the poor but highly motivated to finish their education.
It costs P3,000.00 to sponsor one Night High Scholar for one year. This covers their uniforms, books, tuition fee and miscellaneous expenses such as field trips and laboratory fees.

EYEGLASS PROJECT- P300 a pair ($8.00); P60,000 ($1,464.00) per project.
