The beneficiaries of our first Eyeglass Project for School Year 2007-2008 were the boys and girls of Cielito Zamora Elementary School in Caloocan City. The eye testing was done on August 30 and 31 and the eyeglass distribution was held on September 10, 2007.

We were joined during the eyeglass distribution by friends and by new sponsors. This year's distribution program was made extra special by the participation of up and coming young movie star and commercial model, Ms. Rhian Ramos. Ms. Rhian sponsored eyeglasses for the students and also gave a very inspiring message during the program. She helped out with the distribution of the eyeglasses and graciously signed autographs and posed with the eager students who look up to her as a positive role model.

Special thanks also to everyone who helped out during the event, Mr. Harry Pound, Mr. Paul Pryde, Mr. Ralph Torralba, Ms. Ollie Aviles, Ms. Lay Howell, Ms. Rhian Ramos, and of course to our partner optometrists, Dr. Jeson Viñas and Dr. Cathy Yarcia and Ms. Anne Vinas from Claire Vision.

Our heartfelt gratitude to Uni-President Philippines Corp. for donating 10 boxes of Ho-Mi Instant Noodles to the beneficiaries of the project and to the school's feeding program. This is the second time Uni-President has donated instant noodles to ABC Foundation. They also donated boxes of instant noodles in 2005 during our Eyeglass Project in Camarin D Elementary School, also in Caloocan City.

Of course we could not have done all this without the help of the sponsors who have generously donated to the project.
